Why Oh Why?

I'm having a very hard time understanding why any progressive/liberal/Democrat who bitched about the economy in 2008 are supporting Obama today in 2012.  The economy was roaring along in 2006 until the Democrats took over in January 2007 and after they continued to foist "affordable homes" on big banks and allowed reselling of mortgages to Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac  under bogus circumstances and the economy crashed.  The sub-prime housing market is the prime reason behind the collapse of the financial sector.  I know it, you know it and for damn sure the Democrats know it.

Yet, with the economy continuing in the doldrums, there are those that think another four years under this administration will make things better.  Wasn't it Mr. Obama that made all kinds of promises for his first term, including the to slow the rise of the oceans and to heal the planet
Obama promised to bring unemployment to 5+% and to halve the deficit "...or this will be a one term..." administration.  Well, we see how that went didn't we.

When U6 and U5 employment figures by the Department of Labor are considered, unemployment is in the 10% plus range and has been for some time.  In stead of halving the deficit, Obama and the Democrats have added six trillion dollars to the count.  More in four years than Bush added in eight years so I'd guess (though I'd be wrong) that the Democrats don't believe, as Obama did in '08 that it was "unpatriotic."

So much is wrong with this administration, that cataloging the total is just about impossible, but it should be enough for the intelligent to know that a vote for Obama in 2012, is a vote for a continuation of the same, and that can't be good for you, for me or for the United States of America.

1 I do enjoy the fact that so many college students in 2008, who got out for "Rock the Vote" for Obama, have graduated and still must live with their parents since they can't find jobs and will be paying for medical insurance that most young, healthy peoiple tend to postpone until after they have enough cash for their cars, furniture, and living costs. "That'll learn ya'."
